Places in the Shuswap

To get to the Park, on Hwy 1 travel eleven miles (seventeen kilometers) from Chase northeast to Scotch Creek. From there, the Park is situated forty miles (Sixty-five kilometers) up a logging road.

The excellent place to go to if you are seeking for quiet and quiet plus plenty of sandy seashores is the Silver Beach Provincial Park. The perfect vacation spot for persons wanting a total escape can head to Park, that is positioned far away from Hwy 1. The privacy let it be a popular scene for houseboaters. The lake boasts seashores, lovely forests, and lots of wildlife. The Park is really a safe place for beavers, bears, and river otters. Positioned on the Adams River is the Roderick Haig-Brown Provincial Park, which happens to be home of the West Coast's leading sockeye salmon run. The Park is named for the ecologist who dedicated himself to saving the wildlife, incorporating sockeye salmon, which is so important to the province's economy. Roderick Haig-Brown was also an angler, magistrate, and author. The Park is 2,440 acres (988 ha) and includes the whole river. Bears, river otters, and beavers are plentiful. From Kamloops drive east on Hwy 1 for fourty one miles (sixty-six km) to Monte Creek, turn north to Squilax. Follow the park signs three miles (five km) north of Squilax.

Cinnemousun Narrows Provincial Park happens to be a 176-hectare park at the convergence of the four arms of Shuswap Lake at Cinnemousun Narrows. The Park has four wharves for boaters and a marine sani-station. Guests are drawn to this Park by its long, stunning sandy seaside. Campers can choose from 28 walk-in campsites, with essential facilities.
